Adroit Consult International was contracted by Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO) Uganda to document stories of change among refugees in Lamwo-Palabek and Bidibidi, Yumbe District.
With the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the East African region, there is an urgent need for mental health interventions to address the trauma and suffering experienced by refugees. TPO Uganda’s work is focused on mental health and psychosocial support. It has been providing these critical services to displaced and vulnerable communities since 1994.
Throughout this consultancy assignment, we aimed to document the positive impact of TPO’s mental health interventions on the lives of refugees, shedding light on their resilience, coping mechanisms, and the transformative power of psychosocial support.
Specifically, the consultancy assignment involved;
The ACI team made a compilation of the stories and then uploaded the original video footages for each documentary, trimed and split clips to highlight the aspects of the story of change and append this clip together to assemble 5-15 minutes’ footage with special emphasis on the outcomes of psychological intervention among project beneficiaries. This process also involved color grading of clips, sound tuning and enabling the flow of the stories.
