Adroit Consult International is a multi-sectoral consulting firm based in Kampala Uganda providing the highest level of consulting services and research. Incorporated in Uganda in 2007, we have provided consultancy and management services to Governments, Non-Government Organizations, private sector entities, and Civil Society Organizations both local and international.
About the Project
Adroit Consult International has been contracted by Ripple Effect to support the implementation of the Youth Inclusive Dairy Markets Systems (YIDaMS) Project. The overall goal of this project is “Improved socio-economic well-being of young people in the dairy value chain in South Western Uganda by 2027,” anticipating to enable 63,400 young women, men, refugees, and persons with disabilities to access dignified and fulfilled work in the dairy sector. The project targets 70% young women, 10% refugees, and 5% persons with disabilities. Specifically, Adroit Consult International’s contribution will be to enable increased revenue of business enterprises by the young people in the dairy value chain by 2025 through among others, enhancing access to input and output markets, and also facilitating linkages to both financial and non-financial Business Development Services in the dairy value chain, for specifically young people.
Position: Volunteer/ Intern
Duration: 6 months (with a possibility of retention)

Job Summary: The intern/ Volunteer will have the opportunity to learn from our various projects in research and consultancy, as well as project management. The volunteer will also take part in supporting coordination with our different stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate and learn from our Research Associates, how to respond to Request for Proposals and prepare detailed technical and financial proposals to secure opportunities with clients
- Support in delivering bid documents to different client offices, which will provide an added skill in client interaction an awareness of different office locations
- Participate and learn from our experts, how to conduct defence meetings with clients, including preparation of required PowerPoint documents
- Participate and learn from our project implementation teams on how to prepare inception and final reports for the activities we take part in
- Carry out data collection as and when required for our different interventions, as well as transcription and field report writing were needed
The volunteer/ intern has the opportunity to learn different skillsets from our team of internal and external experts, as well as all the activities that Adroit Consult Internal carries out.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree from a reputable University (or scheduled to graduate) and must have graduated not more than two years ago
- Have ability to communicate and write in the English language
- Have basic computer skills
- Additional skills in graphics, professional photography, team building and event coordination, marketing and publicity, social media management, among others will be an added advantage.
