THE NATIONAL MALARIA END-USE VERIFICATION SURVEY FOR UGANDA-2022 & 2024

Adroit Consult International is proud to have played a crucial role in conducting the 12th and 14th End-Use Verification Surveys (EUVs) in Uganda, contributing to the ongoing efforts to combat malaria.

The EUV process, developed by the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) in collaboration with USAID and other partners, is a vital tool for assessing the availability and use of malaria commodities at the health facility level. By collecting data on malaria diagnosis, treatment, and supply chain management, the EUV provides valuable insights to policymakers and planners.

In Uganda, the EUV is a key component of the Strengthening Supply Chain Systems (SSCS) Program, funded by USAID and implemented Management Sciences for Health (MSH) in collaboration with Advocates Coalition for Development and Environment (ACODE), Uganda Healthcare Federation (UHF), the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Uganda’s Department of Pharmaceutics and Natural Medicine (DPNM) and the National Malaria Control Division (NMCD).. The overall goal of the EUV is to reduce malaria mortality and morbidity by ensuring the effective availability and use of malaria medicines and commodities. Adroit Consult International’s expertise in conducting these surveys has helped to: Verify the general availability of key malaria medicines and commodities; provide evidence of the reach of malaria medicines and commodities to the people they are intended for, and see how they are being used; monitor supply chain management of malaria medicines and commodities so that problems can be promptly identified and corrective action taken; contribute to the establishment of an effective supply chain monitoring system; and provide regular information concerning malaria case management. Adroit Consult International is committed to supporting malaria control efforts and improving the health and well-being of communities in Uganda.
